Teams, the musical project of 22-year-old multi-instrumentalist Sean Bowie, draws inspiration from blissful tunes of days past. Inspired by the ‘70s and ‘80s, the LA-based producer weaves chillwave and R&B to create addictive electronic dance music. Teams’ first release, Catch Pool EP, came out in May of 2010, followed by We Have A Room With Everything EP that August. Bowie then paired up with fellow producer Star Slinger for a joint release, Teams Vs. Star Slinger, in 2011. Later that year Bowie released Dxys Xff, a full-length album that made it into Mishka’s NYC Top 100 Albums of 2011. Teams, who has toured in the U.S. and Europe, will now offer up a 7-inch single Love Distance / Glow Fam via White Iris, balancing the disc with two sonically opposing tracks. The A-side “Love Distance”, penned in a mansion in Venice Beach, is a breezy electro number. Conversely, the B-side “Glow Fam”, which features Ohio producer Dick Models, is grittier and distorted.
